The first is From a Buick 8, which you see some early art for on your right. Kasch talked to producer Etchie Stroh of Moonstone Entertainment, who said the script for Buick is in the hands of director Tobe Hooper as we speak, who’s giving it a once-over to tighten it up. It will go to Stephen King, who wrote the novel the film is based on, before cameras roll for final approval.

They’re hoping to have everything ready to go for a shoot date in early 2008 and though no casting’s been done, they will be filming in Pennsylvania which only makes sense, as that’s where the book is set.

Douze ans après La Part des ténèbres, le cinéaste grand spécialiste du film de zombies (creesphow) replongera à nouveau dans l’univers fantastique de l’écrivain pour adapter l’un de ses romans récents, From a Buick 8 (Roadmaster en français). Ce thriller dans la lignée de Christine a été réécrit par deux scénaristes, Johnathon Schaech et Richard Chizmar, qui assureront également la fonction de producteur via leur société Chesapeake Films.

Résumé : L’action de From a Buick 8 se déroule dans la petite bourgade de Statler, en Pennsylvanie. Le jeune Ned Wilcox tente de connaître les circonstances exactes de la mort de son père policier. Ses investigations vont le mener vers une étrange Buick laissée à l’abandon dans un hangar.
